Service Creek Stage Stop, once a 1920's boarding house, is a a six room, six bath, lodge located on twenty-six acres and catering to individuals, families, and groups.

We are located 20 miles east of Fossil, Oregon, on Highway 19 at Junction 207 on the John Day River.
Our area is rich in history and natural attractions such as the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument.
We are just 60 miles south of the famous Columbia River Gorge and 185 miles from Portland, Oregon.
Our Café offers a wide variety of cuisine, from hamburgers to prime rib dinners, pasta dishes and homemade soups - all made to order.
The Service Creek Store has just about whatever you may need during your stay.
Choose from our fresh produce and groceries We also carry camping equipment and fishing tackle.


Our raft rentals provides you with a variety of watercraft for your adventures on the scenic John Day River. As an added convenience, we will shuttle your vehicle from your put in spot to your take out destination.
We also provide guided fishing and eco-tour trips.
