For many visitors to the Oregon Coast their trip is not complete without a trip to Mo's.
Especially to sample their legendary Clam Chowder.
Mo's Restaurants
Since its humble beginnings as “Freddie and Mo’s” on Newports waterfront in 1946, Mo's Restaurant has opened restaurants in
Cannon Beach,
Lincoln City,
Otter Rock,
Florence
and a second in Newport known as
Mo's Annex.
Mo's Chowder factory in Newport now produces around 500,000 pounds of the World Famous Clam Chowder each year, some
of which is shipped to grocery stores with the rest being delivered fresh to all of the Mo's Restaurants.
Mo and her restaurants have recieved many accolades and reviews from dozens of newspapers and magazines around the United States.
In 1999 Mo’s Clam Chowder was a featured entrée at the first luncheon ever held in the Smithsonian Institute celebrating
“Best American Regional Foods.”
Throughout its 60+ years of history Mo's has retained its warm and friendly atmosphere and has remained very much a family run business.
Mo's granddaughter now runs the business with the help of her daughter Gabrielle and son Dylan.
