Driving Directions Misty Oaks Vineyard Contact Us
Misty Oaks Vineyard is located in the Umpqua Valley AVA of southern Oregon sitting between between the Coast Range to the west and the Cascade Mountains to the east.

Steve and Christy Simmons love of wine and desire to return to farming led them from Alaska to this perfect site in southern Oregon.

Their 15 acre vineyard was first planted in 1998 and produced its first vintage in 2003.

Steve and Christy control every aspect of the wine making process from the vineyard to bottling - creating uniquely distinctive Northwest wines that just burst with flavor.

Just to the south and west of Sutherlin and Oakland in southern Oregon, the vineyard ranges between 300 and 1000 feet elevation on the hillsides of the Tyee Valley.

The Misty Oaks Vineyard is planted on disease resistant rootstocks that best match the desired vigor for the soil types.

The six varietals grown here experience a range of climatic conditions due to the southerly aspect, the inclination and the prevailing wind direction and are named for the growing areas within the vineyard.
