Camp Info Availability Fees Tumalo Information Tumalo rests along Oregon's spectacular Deschutes River 4 miles north of Bend. Its location makes it an ideal for lots of outdoor activities, fishing, hiking and mountain biking. The Cascade Mountains and Mt Bachelor are all within easy reach. 23 full hook-up sites and 58 tent sites and 7 Yurt sites. Two reservable group tent camping areas accommodate approx. 25 each. Newberry Crater & Paulina Lake
There are seven campgrounds in the Crater, offer shoreline camping, boat ramps, sanitary facilities, group camping, and a horse camp with equestrian trails.

LaPine State Park
The park is also home to Oregon's largest ponderosa pine. Nicknamed "Big Red," the tree is 162' tall, 28.9' around and may be in excess of 500 years old.
